We have also lifted the resolution of the mapping for the ECW maps (Ozfx3 maps stay the same size as 2008 version), so if you are using a modern version of OziExplorer or OziExplorer CE on your PDA, then the level of detail and clarity should be better.

These new 1:25,000 scale maps cover the entire state of Victoria, and have been produced in 2010 from the latest data available to Vicmap.

Compiled from DSE Vicmap and Corporate Spatial Data Library (CSDL) information. The currency range of source data is as follows:

•     Vicmap Transport: 2010; except for walking and vehicular tracks within Parks and    Conservation Reserves: 1994 - 2010
•     Vicmap Property: 2009
•     Vicmap Features: 2000 - 2010
•     Vicmap Vegetation (not including Treecover): 1974 - 1995
•     CGDL Treecover: 2000
•     Plantation data derived from PLANT100: 2003 - 2005
•     Vicmap Hydro: 2010
•     Vicmap Elevation Statewide Contours: 2010
•     Vicmap Admin (Local Government Areas): 2010
•     Parks and Conservation Reserves information derived from Vicmap Property and other Victorian Government Data: 2010
•     Other Crown Land information derived from Vicmap Property and PLM100: 2008

There are over 830 maps included in the 2 DVD set, in both ECW and OziExplorer (Ozfx3) formats. All maps are in the Vicgrid94 projection, and GDA94 datum.

Also include on the DVD is a state-wide mosaic created as an ECW file, this is quite a hefty file at 7.6 GB, so is not suitable for PDA use.

Disc 1: contains ECW files only, plus map legend and map data PDF files.
Disc 2: contains remainging ECW maps, and Ozfx3 maps
Disc 3: contains the new Mosaic map.

These are a stunning set of maps that make a great companion to the Geoscience 1:250K DVD's ,the Spatial Vision VicMapBook DVD or indeed the new 1:50K Vicmap topographic series DVD.
