TopoView Raster 2006 maps are exact digital copies of the NSW Lands Department's topographic maps. They cover the whole of NSW and vary in scales from 1:100,000 (Western Region), 1:50,000 (Central NSW) and 1:25,000 (Eastern NSW).
TopoView Raster 2006 maps have a wide variety of professional and recreational uses, including:
real-time navigation with global positioning system (GPS)
route and adventure planning
as backdrops in geographic information systems (GIS), where other information is overlaid and analysed
map-based presentations
a convenient and compact method of storing maps
TopoView Raster 2006 contains all the software needed to use the maps on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system and Internet Explorer 5.5 or better.

All current 1:25,000, 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 raster maps (Map Grid of Australia MGA) as ECW georeferenced images (individual tiles)
All current 1:25,000, 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 raster maps (Map Grid of Australia MGA) as ECW georeferenced image supplied as single mosaic covering parts of NSW.
All Non-current 1:25,000, 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 raster maps (final edition in Australian Map Grid AGM) as ECW georeferenced images (individual tiles)
Search tools for accessing Towns, Locations and Features throughout NSW using Geographical Names Register of NSW or by co-ordinate or Lands Department Map Sheet Name and Number.

The images in this edition have been compressed to reduce file sizes and improve map loading speed. All images have a minimum of 180 dpi
TopoView Raster 2006 utilises GeoScience Australia Natmap Digital Maps (Raster) viewer software and is compatible with GeoScience Australia Natmap Digital Maps (Raster) suite of products.
The ECW images in this suite can also be imported into GIS and mapping products that support reading the ECW file format ( OziExplore, Fugawi, Memory-Map etc)
